What is the NDIS?

A groundbreaking initiative

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is a government initiative to make support more accessible for Australians living with disability. As an NDIS participant you can receive funding for support services that help you get through life easier.

You can have more control over your life and live more independently and you can access benefits available for you in your community. It’s your pathway to a healthier, more manageable life with disability.

NDIS FAQs
You can apply to the NDIS for funding by calling 1800 800 110 or by filling out the Access Request Form. You will need to provide information about your age, your residency and your disability when applying.
Managing funds yourself will give you greater control over your choices when it comes to your NDIS supports. This is called being self-managed. However, some people find it stressful and confusing to handle their own funds because it requires some administration and organisational skills. If you don’t want to manage your own funds, you can choose to be plan-managed.

In this case a plan manager will handle all your invoices and payments and keep track of your spending. Vesper Care provides support for self-managed and plan-managed participants.

A support coordinator is a qualified professional who can help you to understand and navigate the NDIS in order to come up with the most optimised plan for your needs. They will work with you to create a plan that includes the best supports for you within your budget at a particular time in your NDIS journey.
Covid-19 has left a serious impact on disability care, however, government safety regulations and advice have allowed service providers like us to continue offering care when and how it is needed.

Vesper Care complies with state guidelines such as using protective gear when necessary, practising social distancing and hand hygiene. We conduct regular screenings and our care workers are encouraged to stay at home if they experience any symptoms. We are fortunate to have sufficient staff and resources to keep our support going without any disruption to your much-needed care.

You are welcome to submit any complaints, feedback or suggestions to us by filling out our Feedback Form. We value all input. You may also contact us by phone on 0433 790 102 or email admin@vespercare.com.au with your feedback.
The Vesper Care team is ready to discuss your care options. Contact us during working hours by phone or email or fill out our Contact Form and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You can talk to us in English, Cantonese or Mandarin and with us you also get to have choice and control over your support options.
